Sergio Caci, Mayor of Montalto di Castro was appointed as CoR rapporteur for the Occupational safety and health (OSH) strategy. In his first reaction Caci said “I am pleased that my colleagues from SEDEC and the political groups have chosen me as rapporteur for this important and current opinion. I will do my utmost to bring the best possible opinion to the European Committee of the Regions.”
EU OSH legislation is essential to protect the health and safety of the almost 170 million workers in the EU. The new 2021-2027 OSH framework sets out the key priorities and actions necessary for improving workers’ health and safety over the coming years in the context of the post-pandemic world, marked with green and digital transitions, economic and demographic challenges and the changing notion of a traditional workplace environment.
