The EPP-CoR has held its annual Communication training session, from October 15th to 17th. This year, we had 14 participants, assistants of EPP-CoR members, with a balanced gender representation, who were eager to enhance their knowledge in areas crucial to modern communication and governance.
Day 1 Introduction to the EPP-CoR
The first day set the tone with a comprehensive introduction to the European Committee of the Regions (CoR) and the role of the CoR in supporting local and regional authorities. The day wrapped up with a visit to the EPP Headquarters, offering participants insights into the inner workings of the party.
Day 2 Unlocking the Power of Artificial Intelligence
On the second day, Olmo Romero, an expert in artificial intelligence (AI) and audiovisual communication, led an engaging full-day seminar on leveraging AI to boost productivity. Participants explored the practical uses of AI tools like ChatGPT, focusing on automating everyday tasks, creating compelling content, and enhancing workflow efficiency. By the end of the day, attendees were equipped with hands-on experience in using AI to streamline communication processes.
Day 3 Transmedia Storytelling
The final day featured an immersive session on transmedia storytelling, led by Patricia RodrĂguez, a seasoned communication specialist. Patricia guided participants through the process of creating compelling narratives that span multiple media platforms, allowing for deeper audience engagement. The session demonstrated how transmedia techniques can be used to enrich communication strategies by integrating stories across books, films, social media, and other platforms.
