The EPP Group in the European Committee of the Regions marked Europe Day by welcoming citizens, families and visitors to its stand at the Committee of the Regions in Brussels, highlighting the important role that villages, cities and regions play in building Europe every day.
Throughout the day, visitors had the opportunity to engage with interactive activities, including quizzes, discussions on European policies and educational games for children, all aimed at bringing Europe closer to citizens of all ages.
The event also offered a platform for dialogue on how local and regional authorities contribute to shaping a stronger, more connected and more resilient European Union.
EPP-CoR member Frederiek Vermeulen visited the stand and engaged directly with citizens, listening to their views and discussing the EPP Group’s work and priorities within the Committee of the Regions.
For the EPP-CoR, Europe is not built only in institutions, but every day in our communities, municipalities and regions. Europe Day is an important reminder that citizens must remain at the heart of the European project.
The EPP Group thanks all those who visited the stand and reaffirms its commitment to maintaining close dialogue with citizens across Europe.
