Exhibition by Ukrainian Photographer Vladyslav Musiienko Opens at the European Committee of the Regions

As part of the European Week of Cities and Regions, Mieczysław Struk, President of the Pomorskie Region, inaugurated an exhibition of works by Ukrainian photographer Vladyslav Musiienko at the European Committee of the Regions, in the Paweł Adamowicz Foyer.

The exhibition documents the initial period of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, capturing the raw and painful realities of war. It has been prepared by the Museum in Bytów (Pomorskie) in cooperation with local activists deeply moved by the atrocities and human suffering caused by the conflict.

The powerful images convey an urgent and emotional message that deserves to be seen by as many visitors as possible. They remind Europe of the ongoing human cost of war and the resilience of the Ukrainian people.

In his remarks at the opening, President Struk said: “This exhibition presents powerful and authentic photographs from the war in Ukraine. It is not a virtual or abstract experience — it is real. Real terrorism. Real destruction. Real suffering across countless cities, towns, and villages. Through these images, we bear witness to the harsh reality of war and its impact on innocent lives. This exhibition is not only for the Polish people — it is for all Europeans. It is a reminder that the pain of Ukraine is the pain of Europe. We must not look away. We must serve, we must stand together, and we must help the people of Ukraine.”
