EPP Local Dialogue: Biocultural diversity and protection of habitat

The environment and biodiversity conservation is increasingly present in the sustainable development strategies and actions of the EU. The EU Biodiversity Strategy recognizes the intrinsic and instrumental values of biodiversity, and acts towards the protection of natural habitat, as well as halting the loss of biodiversity by the implementation the Bird and Habitat directives and cross-sectoral approaches through substantial knowledge and funding.
