The 132nd Plenary session of the Committee of the Regions takes place on 5-6 December 2018 in the European Parliament. Highlights include a debate on the future of the Cohesion Policy with
Corina Crețu, Commissioner for Regional Policy as well as a debate on Brexit with European Chief Negotiator
Michel Barnier.
The five EPP-led opinions to be adopted during the Plenary session are:
- Common Provisions Regulation, by co-rapporteurs Michael Schneider, State Secretary of the State of Saxony-Anhalt (EPP/DE) and Catiuscia Marini (IT/PES)
- The Single Market Programme, by rapporteur Deirdre Forde, Councillor of Cork County Council (EPP/IE)
- The InvestEU Programme, by rapporteur Konstantinos Agorastos, Governor of the region of Thessaly (EPP/EL)
- Neighbourhood and the World, by rapporteur Hans Janssen, Mayor of Oisterwijk (EPP/NL)
- Digital Europe programme, by rapporteur Markku Markkula, City councillor of Espoo and First Vice–President of the European Committee of the Regions (EPP/FI)
As usual, the Plenary Session will be preceded by meetings of the EPP-CoR Bureau and the EPP-CoR Group.
