The EPP Group in the Committee of the Regions once again opened its doors to students enrolled in Masters programmes dedicated to European Studies, International Relations and Political Science to offer them a first hand view of the work that is carried out by local and regional authorities. The call for participants gained more than 500 applicants for the 30 places demonstrating the interest of students to work with the EPP Group and the Committee of the Regions. The selected students came from diverse regions from across 29 Member States ranging from the suburbs of Kaunas in Lithuania to cosmopolitan London. Not only did the selected participants have the opportunity to visit the Committee of the Regions' Plenary Session and EPP Group meeting, debates with top level EU representatives from the Committee of the Regions, European Parlliament and European Commission will be arranged on topics of particular interest.
