An Ageing population is an issue that concerns all EU countries. With this opinion, the CoR stresses the need for preventive action and the essential role played by new technologies in ensuring active and healthy ageing for EU citizens. "Physical and mental balance and the silver economy will ease the challenge with demographic unbalance", says rapporteur Birgitta Sacrédeus.
