The Communication sets out the new course of the EU towards simplifying rules to make the economy more competitive and more prosperous. This proposal is part of the Commission's intention to lighten the regulatory load for people, businesses and administration in the EU. It will do this by setting objectives to reduce unnecessary administrative burden, improve the process of making legislation, focusing on better implementation through cooperation with stakeholders and building administrative capacity.
